The SATCA in Argentina

The SATCA (Argentine Society of Sugar Cane Technicians) jointly with the Organising Committee, are in charge of the event together with other organizations related to sugar industry as well as governmental institutions at a national and at regional level, those provinces in North West Argentina.

The SATCA was created in 1982 with the purpose of organizing a society comprising the main technical referents of the country. Its objective is to strengthen the technological knowledge boosting the sugar cane competitiveness by means of the exchange between scientists and technicians of our country and worldwide. To this date, 21 meetings have been held.

At the international level and together with the ISSCT, the SATCA has organized the VIII Agricultural Engineering Workshop in 2006 also in Northwest Argentina.
